Dr. Pal's Bio
Dr. Pal has been with Ocean Avenue Vet Hospital since May 2014. Becoming a veterinarian was an easy choice for her as her father, a veterinarian created a lasting impression on her earlier in her life. He inspired her to eventually pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Pal graduated from the College of Veterinary Sciences, Hisar, India. After earning her Master’s degree she came to the USA and completed her ECFVG certification in 2008. She worked for five years at a small animal practice in Long Island, New York before joining Ocean Avenue Hospital.
Dr. Pal’s focus is on prevention services. She is here to help you understand your pet’s needs when they cannot express those needs themselves. Identifying your concerns, and collaborating with you to provide a personalized approach for your pet is her aim. She strongly believes client education is the key to maintaining and adding quality years to the life of four-legged furry friends. Her special interests lie in surgery and internal medicine especially geriatric medicine.
In her free time, she loves to spend her time outdoors with her family and their rescue dog Goldie.
Dr. Kim's Bio
She went on to pursue her undergraduate career at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. In 1992 she graduated cum laude from the pre-medical program with a Bachelor’s degree in Science. She majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. She returned to California to attend veterinary school at the University of California at Davis. Dr. Kim has a particular interest in surgery. She completed a surgical externship at the Animal Medical Center in New York in 1995. She is certified in performing Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) cases and has a great interest in orthopedics. She also received training in laparoscopic surgery at the Oquendo Center in Las Vegas.
Before coming to Ocean Avenue Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Kim worked for almost 20 years in the Marina-Pacific Heights neighborhood. After a large corporation bought her hospital, she decided to look for another practice owned and operated by veterinarians. She came full circle when she met Dr. Singla and found her new work family at Ocean Avenue Veterinary Hospital. She believes that this practice has done a great job of keeping up its close ties to the local community. It has a warm, neighborhood feel while maintaining a high quality of service, along with futuristic upgrades in technology.

Dr. Mishra's Bio
I was brought up in a village in Nepal where farm animals are part of a family. As a kid, we were allowed to watch day-to-day farm activities but were not allowed to get involved. As we grew up, I got an opportunity to pursue Veterinary science from the college of veterinary science Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Ludhiana, Punjab, India. I graduated from vet school in 2015 and earned a master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2017. I worked for a corporate veterinary practice in New Delhi for a year. While working as a veterinary doctor in India, I got a Research Assistant opportunity from the Department of Animal Science at the University of Hawaii in 2019. While studying at the University of Hawaii, I started my ECFVG certification procedure. Following the completion of ECFVG certification, I joined the Ocean Avenue Veterinary Hospital family in August 2022. As a veterinarian, I think veterinary facilities should be available for everyone. In my free time, I like to drive to new places and try new food.
